Extensive repairs and partial upgrade of machinery monitoring systems for P&O European Ferries (Irish Sea) Ltd.

There had been extensive failure of the Soren T Lyngso UMS213 Alarm System, necessitating component level electronic repairs to many of the alarm cards and complete re-calibration and re-commissioning of the system. The exhaust gas temperature monitoring system for the main engines was also replaced with an Autronica KM2 system.

Turnkey design, build & commissioning of a 600kW bowthruster electronic soft start system for P&O European Ferries (Irish Sea) Ltd. During the conversion of European Leader at A&P Falmouth an additional diesel electric tunnel thruster was installed, powered from a standalone diesel genset.
MJR Controls designed and supplied a complete electronic soft start, machinery monitoring, safety and remote control system for the diesel generator prime mover.

Retrofit of Main Engine Bearing Monitoring & Protection Equipment for Andrew Weir Shipping's "River" class fleet.
MJR Controls were awarded a 4 ship turnkey design, manufacture, installation and commissioning contract to retrofit systems to the ships main engines.
One of the main criteria was to install the systems with the vessels in service with no disruption to operating schedule. This difficult project was successfully achieved within time and to budget.
