Carousel Barge Construction... |

In
August 2004 MJR Controls were sub contracted by Caley
Ocean Systems Ltd to carry out installation of the electrical,
control & instrumentation systems on a Pipe Carousel Barge
for their client Technip
Offshore
Norge A/S.
Designed to support the Statoil Snohvit development project
in the Barents Sea, the barge provides a mobile rigid pipe
spooling facility for pipe installation vessel CSO Apache.

The
project was carried out at Tees Offshore Base, Middlesbrough,
England, the duration being approximately 3 months.
Our workscope covered a diverse range of activities including
installation of AC Vector Drive Suites, PLC/Scada Control Systems,
Power Generation & Distribution, Data Networks, Lighting,
CCTV, Communications, Emergency Stop and Fire Detection Systems. |
In addition to the general installation activities outlined
above, we provided turnkey design & build solutions for
the CCTV, Communications and Power Generation/Distribution systems.
