In
the last quarter of 2000 we carried out the full electrical
design and marine site project management of the conversion
of Northern River at Pan
United Shipyard, Singapore for CTC
Marine Projects.
The vessel was lengthened and converted from an offshore platform
supply vessel to a 2500T submarine cable installation vessel.
In
addition to the marine conversion we supervised and managed
the installation of the entire cable machinery spread.
This
included linear & drum cable engines, A-frame & plough
spread, test/transmission, power feed, jointing & control
rooms.
The
following year we were heavily involved in the supervision and
construction management of the cable installation vessel Skandi
Neptune at Aker Brattvaag yard in Norway.
